APPLICATIONS of NMD 90 Construction wire Flat wire twin and earth
NM-B cable is primarily used in residential wiring as branch circuits for outlets, switches, and other loads. NM-B cable may be run in air voids of masonry block or tile walls where such walls are not subject to excessive moisture or dampness. Voltage rating for NM-B cable is 600 volts.
NM-B (nonmetallic-sheathed cable) may be used for both exposed and concealed work in normally dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90°C (with ampacity limited to that for 60°C conductors) as specified in the National Electrical Code 1 .
CONSTRUCTION:
NM-B cable is manufactured as 2, 3, or 4 conductor cable, with a ground wire. Copper conductors are annealed (soft) copper. Stranded conductors are compressed stranded. Conductor insulation is 90°C-rated polyvinyl chloride (PVC), nylon jacketed. Designed for Easier Pulling, Resulting in Easier installation.

Application
Non-metallic sheathed NM-B cable is used in normally dry installations in residential wiring, as branch circuits for outlets, lighting and other residential loads. NM-B is rated at 600 volts and although it is rated at a conductor temperature of 90ºC, its ampacity is limited to 60ºC according to the NEC. It may be fished through masonry or tile walls, where not exposed or subject to excessive moisture or dampness.
- Conductor : Solid #14 - 10 AWG annealed soft bare copper or Stranded #8 AWG and larger annealed soft bare copper .
- Insulation : Color coded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound with a nylon jacket meeting the required thickness of Type THHN. Conductor insulation is rated 90ºC.
- Ground : soft bare copper
- Sheath :color-coded PVC
- NM-B is designed for Easier Pulling, Resulting in Easier installation.
- The cable jacket is color-coded for quick size identification; White - 14 AWG, Yellow – 12 AWG, Orange - 10 AWG, and Black - 8 AWG and 6 AWG.
- LEAD FREE and RoHS compliant

3. The highest allowed operating temperature of conductor for long-term working is 70oC. In short-circuit (Max. Long-term is no more than 5 seconds). The highest temperature for conductor is no more than 160oC.
4. D. C. Resistance of the conductor complies with the stipulations of GB/T3956-1997.
5. The environment temperature should be no lower than 0oC when lay. Otherwise it should be preheated.
